Mirrors are a type of platform in Super Mario Sunshine. There are three large solar mirrors surrounding the Shine Tower in the center of Gelato Beach, reflecting the sun's rays onto a globe to help incubate the Sand Bird's egg. They are featured in the second episode of Gelato Beach, "Mirror Madness! Tilt, Slam, Bam!", in which several Plungelos mess with the tilt of the mirrors and prevent them from incubating the egg.

Each mirror has a different number of Plungelos on it (one, two, and three), and they can be cleared in any order. As Plungelos' suction cup feet prevent them from slipping off the mirrors, Mario must use FLUDD to push the Plungelos to the edge of the mirror, then Ground Pound the opposite side of the mirror to cause it to tilt and launch them off. Once all six Plungelos are defeated, the mirrors swing back to their original positions, and Mario is rewarded with the episode's Shine Sprite.
